This position provides dental care for infants, children, and adolescents by examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases, abnormalities, injuries and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures.
Provides dental care for infants, children and adolescents.
Examines and interprets digital radiographs and diagnostic tests, to determine type and extent of dental diseases, disabilities or dysfunctions.
Treats diseases, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures in children.
Evaluates findings and prescribes type, extent, and order of treatment required.
Treats primary and secondary teeth and constructs and places bridges, dentures, and other appliances suitable for growing arches.
Restores health and function of carious, fractured, or otherwise defective teeth.
Manages patients with behavioral problems or handicapping conditions.
Performs oral surgery, endodontic, prosthodontic, and interceptive orthodontic treatment on children.
Provides preventive services through use of fluorides, sealants, and instructs patient and family members on dental care.
Counsels and advises patients and family members on growth, development of dental problems on the patient, habits that can damage the teeth
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Certified Dental License coupled with a minimum of five years experience as a pediatric dentist required; outpatient health clinic setting and/or a community health center setting working with the underserved populations preferred.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing quality improvement programs.
Demonstrated experience with Electronic Dedical Records systems.
